Feng Shui can make you wealthy and all that’s required is knowing how to make sure everything is just so…and, as the expression goes, looks just so.
A belief in Feng Shui for wealth incorporates its theory that every each area of a home is related to a specific area of a person’s station in life. The Bagua is a Chinese grid that is used as a tool to help you divide your space into the nine areas of life.
Using the Bagua, the southeast corner is one of the nine areas created in a home and is known as the prosperity corner. A quick check of the southeast corner of your home will reveal if you have a problem with prosperity. An existence of metal in the area is good… And you may want to consider adding it if it’s not already there.
Anything metal will work, but there are also traditional Chinese symbols made of metal that are particularly effective in promoting prosperity:

These prosperity coins are said to bring good luck with money and can be placed in the southeast corner. To achieve the maximum effects for prosperity, tie 3 prosperity coins together with a red ribbon. The coins can be placed anywhere in the southeast corner of your home and do not even have to be visible
- Known as the “the Buddah of Wealth,” a statue of the laughing Buddah holding a money bag or gold bar can be purchased for the southeast corner of a home. The figure does not have to be large, but should be placed in an area where it can be seen to be effective
- Any metal piece or ornament can help increase prosperity, according to Feng Shui. A metal lamp is an ideal choice for an ornament that can help increase prosperity
- Another symbol of wealth that can increase an individual’s prosperity is an ancient Chinese sailing ship. Placing one near the door of a room in the southeast corner or anywhere in the room for that matter is sure to bring wealth. The ship should be positioned in such a way that is sailing into the room and not out, to keep the wealth inside. It does not have to be metal, but this is best because metal symbolizes wealth and will be yet another metal piece. The ship should also be filled with gold coins or other currency to symbolize wealth sailing into your life
While achieving prosperity through the use of metal is easy, there may be reasons related to your home that you’re still not achieving the prosperity that you’re seeking. One of these is too much water in your home, which can cause wealth to wash away.
Other considerations to make sure you achieve the maximum prosperity include:
- Chi can move wrongly to create bad chi when the energy or chi in a room is not right
- Check to assure that metal objects do not have points, because these can turn against you
